Take a kayak or canoe tour and explore the beauty and wildlife of the North Norfolk Coast creeks
Brancaster, Cley and Blakeney are renowned areas of natural beauty as well as being havens for many thousands of native and migratory birds.
The mud flats of the North Norfolk creeks teem with bird life from Curlews to Egrets, Sandpipers to Ring Plovers. Until now the only way to see the wildlife of the mudflats has been from a hide several hundred yards away, but now you can get really close by exploring the creeks in a kayak or canoe. You will be guided by a fully qualified Kayak/Canoe Coach who will point out the amazing array of Flora and Fauna to be found on the marshes.
The trips leave from Brancaster Staithe and wind their way through the network of narrow channels. Each trail will last approximately three hours including safety briefing. Groups will be six to eight maximum. Single and double kayaks are available.
Duration : Approximately 3 hours incl. refresher (dependent on weather / tidal conditions / group ability)
Please note a reasonable level of competence of kayaking is required in order to participate on this trail. If you have never kayaked or it has been a long time since you have done so we would highly recommend doing the 30 minute refresher session prior to the event. We cannot have the trail disrupted due to any individuals inability to paddle their kayak. Therefore, if you have not been on the intro session and are unable to manoeuvre your kayak suitably we may have to leave you behind. Please note no refunds will be given.
Please be very careful when parking at Brancaster Staithe as with particularly high tides the whole of the Car park can be underwater. TheCanoeMan cannot accept any liability for your vehicle or belongings whilst parked.
Please note - We are unable to take bookings over the telephone, please book your activities via the website.
